Fury
Genesis’ Wrath of Atlantis
In February 2011, Atlantis welcomed our newest member to the family: Genesis’ Wrath of Atlantis aka “Fury.” Fury came to us from Genesis Shilohs’ Envy/Carter breeding. Envy and Carter are two of my favorite representatives of the Shiloh breed and I was so excited to see these pups from the time the breeding plans were announced. This was a breeding for which I was lucky enough to be very involved in and was there the day our gorgeous “Hot Pink Girl” came screaming into the world. As luck would have it, she actually shares a birthday with Titan. We were able to watch this beautiful litter grow and go down to visit almost weekly. When the time came for the litter evaluation, it was a very difficult decision as this entire litter was gorgeous with great conformation, beautiful heads and gentle happy temperaments. Hot Pink girl was always busy which is something I always look for since drive is very important to a lot of our dog activities. Along with that, she had a fabulous, wide head and giant, wide muzzle, great bone and nice movement. Towards the end of the day, as we were trying to make a solid decision, Derek and Fury had a “pow wow” and apparently sealed the deal so home we went with baby Fury.
Fury has lived up to her name quite well — not because she is an angry puppy — purely because she’s busy, fiesty, and loves to talk. Every morning upon coming downstairs, Fury “tells us” all about how we aren’t moving quite quick enough with letting her out, or breakfast, or cuddles, or getting new toys out or whatever it is she thinks we should be doing at that point in time. We look forward to watching Fury grow into a beautiful big solid girl as I think she has a wonderful combination of attributes from both Carter and Envy to contribute to the Shiloh breed.
